HealtheMed™ (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the privacy of all users who visit or use our website, located at https://healthemed.com (the "Site"), and our mobile application Clinic@Home™ (the “App”). This Privacy Policy describes how HealtheMed collects, uses, and protects information obtained through the Site and the App.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide:

• Personal identifiers: name, phone number, email, mailing address
• Health-related information: medical conditions, diagnoses, treatment plans, and device biometrics

Information Collected Automatically:

• Device information: IP address, device type, operating system, browser
• App usage: pages visited, time spent, interaction patterns

The App may request the following permissions:

• Camera - to enable telehealth video consultations
• Microphone - to support audio during telehealth calls
• Bluetooth - to connect to remote patient monitoring devices
• Storage/files - to store and access health records and documents

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Communicate service updates or promotions (you may opt out)
• Prevent fraud and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations
• Respond to inquiries and support accounts
• We do not use personal or health information for advertising purposes without your explicit consent. 

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Our third-party providers process personal data solely on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We may share data with HIPAA-eligible third-party service providers for:

• Secure storage and processing of sensitive information
• Analytics to improve services: Data shared with analytics providers (such as Mixpanel and Tableau) is aggregated or de-identified. Identifiable personal and health information is shared only with HIPAA-compliant service providers necessary for care delivery (such as CharmHealth and AWS).

Third-party service providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes. Data may be stored on servers in the United States and if international data transmission occurs, it is only for service delivery, and all data is protected using industry-standard safeguards.

Consent

The App requests explicit user consent before collecting sensitive health information. You may withdraw your consent at any time by discontinuing use of the App or requesting deletion of your data. Health data is collected and used solely for providing healthcare services, remote monitoring, and care coordination, and is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality and analytics. You may adjust your browser settings to manage cookies, but some features may not work if disabled.

Data Retention

• Account and personal data are retained while your account is active.
• After account deletion, some data may be retained up to 90 days for backups, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, after which it is securely deleted, anonymized, or de-identified.
• You have the right to access, update, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. Users may request deletion by calling (888) 562-1235 or emailing info@healthemed.com. We aim to process requests within 15 days.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we employ strict safeguards.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Any data collected in error will be deleted in compliance with COPPA.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
